prom 2015

It’s the biggest night of the year … PROM! Now that you have your dress it is important to think of hair and makeup looks. You want to make sure that the hair and makeup compliment your dress and vice versa.

When deciding what to do with your hair we suggest to put your dress and play around with your hair by pulling it up, half up, wearing it down to see how it looks with the dress. For the makeup you want to have a focus point and that could be either your eyes or your lips. Would a smokey eye look good with your dress or a bright lip?

Prom is a time to look and feel your best and be comfortable at the same time. If you are more casual and don’t do a lot with your hair and makeup this may not be the time to want look like Kim Kardashian. You may not be comfortable with a lot of makeup on your face. However it is a fun time to switch up your look. For example curly hair looks beautiful when it blown out smooth and sleek with a deep side part and jeweled hair clip. Super straight hair looks great curled or even all up in a formal style.

The number one look for hair for Prom 2015 is the messy updo. This look flatters all face shapes and looks polished but youthful. It also looks amazing with a strapless dress. The second most requested look is the half up half down look. This is a classic look that looks good on all hair types and lengths. It is perfect if you want hair away from your face, but not all up. Lately beachy waves are HUGE for Prom 2015. Again this look can be worn half up, half down or all down, looks great on all hair lengths and is a softer look.

The number one look for makeup for Prom 2015 is the smokey eye! Include false lashes for extra drama. You may want to try false lashes prior to your makeup appointment to see if you are comfortable wearing them and if you have any issues. If you are allergic to latex beware because there is latex in most lash adhesives. The second biggest trend for prom makeup is a gorgeous nude lip. Baby pinks, soft champagne tones and sheer lip gloss are huge for prom and look gorgeous. And lastly beautiful skin is always on trend. The look has a nice flow but is not caked on and matches your skin tone.
