On Sunday night thousands tuned in for the 56th Annual Grammy awards. The salon team loves watching all awards shows, but particularly the Grammy’s because the fashion, hair, and makeup has a little more edge to it and not as refined as the Oscar’s or Golden Globes.
Everyone could not stop talking about Beyonce! From her dress on the red carpet to her her steamy hot performance with husband Jay Z! To our team Beyonce can never do wrong and she looked stunning on the red carpet. She was our number one pick for complete looks. We love her textured long layered bob and felt that her makeup was flawless. The deep burgundy lip with the white dress was perfection! Another favorite of the night was Taylor Swift. We loved her dress! Some felt the ponytail wasn’t the best choice for the look however, her eye makeup was amazing! A beautiful metallic smokey eye and plum lip set her look and she looked perfect.
Katy Perry looked gorgeous on the red carpet as well, however we are split on her dress. Some of the team liked it and other’s felt it was too theme-party. However, we loved her up do and makeup. Her up do was perfectly executed and reminded us of old Hollywood glam.
Gold and metallics made a big impact on the red carpet. Some of our favorite divas wearing these colors were Amber Rose, Rita Ora, Chrissy Teigen and Ciara. We loved the soft waves these stars were and how the blonde bombshell went for a deeper root. This is the perfect color for blondes for this time of year and is not only low maintenance but fresh and modern.
Our last top pics of the night were Pink and Alicia Keys. These short haired song birds were radiant on the red carpet. We loved their bold choice in dress color and their cropped do’s were red carpet ready! It shows that you can have short hair and make it glamorous!
